“Why do the things I draw never look as good as they are in my head?!”
If you ever ask yourself this question, you’re not the only one; everyone does, myself included. But when I do, I remind myself of this quote by Robh Ruppel.
And in case you’re wondering who Robh is, here’s his IMDB page. Dude’s a beast (art director for Meet the Robinsons, Brother Bear, Uncharted 2 and 3).
Considering that no less than two days ago, I finished mixing music that I made 5+ years ago and made it all sound the way I originally wanted it to sound, I can pretty much attest to this.
Slightly aside, I’ve also adopted a “long term project” mindset for a lot of my larger fancy projects — If I simply cannot do it now, I’ll do it when my skills can do it justice.
And I should definitely take lessons from you there love
the obvious solution is to get robot hands. >:D
wish this had been typeset better .. but. Message loud
Really nice advice (hey that rhymed a bit)
